Taking it easy or relaxing just isn’t in the plans for Len Montanari. If you ask him when he plans to retire, you’d probably hear an enthusiastic, “Never!” It’s no wonder why – he has achieved great success in a career that he loves as a financial professional. And after 40 years in the business, he’s as excited to go to work each day as he was on his first. “I’d have to be disabled to stop”, he says.

It’s his relationships with his clients that keep Len energized. He’s driven by his desire to do everything he can for each client; to listen and understand their situations, and make recommendations that fit each one’s individual needs and means. Len makes sure to contact his clients regularly. It’s important to him to keep up with any changes in their lives that could present new planning needs. It’s his firm belief that client relationships are always long-term.

Len’s industry achievements over his many years are impressive. He’s a life member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, first reaching membership level in 1977. As a financial professional with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), he’s achieved the company’s Leader’s Club recognition award 35 times and has repeatedly qualified for membership in the company’s highachieving agent groups – Blue Chip Circle, Blue Chip Council and the exclusive Top of the Council. In addition, he’s served on MassMutual’s Agent’s Association leadership board for eight years, three of which were as committee chairman.

Len saw first-hand the value of life insurance when his father-in-law died prematurely, and as a result, joined Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company as an agent in 1973. He followed in the footsteps of his father-in-law and grandfather-in-law, both of whom enjoyed long, successful careers with CM Life. He became a MassMutual agent when CM Life merged with MassMutual, and continued his successful career. Now that Len’s son Craig has joined him in business, they’re proud to be a four-generation financial services family.

A Connecticut native, Len and his wife Joyce have been married since 1969. He’s the father of four children and a grandfather of three. He’s active in his local community of Newington, Connecticut as a volunteer and Lion’s Club member. Len Montanari is a very busy guy, and he plans to stay that way for a very long time to come.
